Cheat Day vs. Cheat Meal
I never knew there was really a difference between both until started unknowingly practicing both. So let me explain.
Naturally we know that a cheat day is a day of indulgence. You've ate clean/healthy for X amount of days and now you are rewarding yourself with a day to eat however you please. No problem. That's acceptable and granted.
So you have your cheat meal. Naturally the phrase means to cheat/eat unhealthy (or out of the normal) just for a specific meal instead for the entire day. But what's the point in mentioning this? Check this.
Cheating on one meal instead of binging the entire day has helped me cut back on overeating and focusing on the actual meal I want to over indulge on. For me, mostly this "cheat meal" is dinner. I would go throughout the day eating clean/healthy and then dinner would be the time to pig out. I'm not a person who likes to eat heavy in the morning so breakfast isn't that meal and lunch time you could eat the same meals at diner so I don't mind waiting a couple of hours to eat that great meal.
I don't know if anyone has or is currently doing this or if this method just seems completely unreasonable but I just wanted to share what works for me, because I know this is not a new discovery. Let me know your thoughts.
